What We Collect

When you use Home Budget IQ, we collect only the information you provide directly:

• Financial inputs you enter (income, debts, down payment) — used solely to calculate your affordability estimate
• Contact information you submit in the unlock form (email, and optionally: first name, phone, preferred contact method)
• UTM/referral parameters from the URL that brought you here

How We Use Your Information

• Calculate and display your estimated affordability range
• Send you a copy of your results by email (if you request it)
• Notify John Yang, Licensed Mortgage Advisor, so he can offer personalized guidance if you choose to follow up

Who Receives Your Data

Your information is shared only with John Yang (Licensed Mortgage Advisor, loanDepot) for the purpose of providing mortgage guidance. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

No Credit Checks

This tool does not perform any credit checks, soft pulls, or hard inquiries. Your credit score is not accessed or affected in any way.

Data Storage & Retention

Your financial inputs are stored temporarily in your browser session and are cleared when you close the tab. Contact information submitted through the unlock form is stored in our secure lead management system. We manually review and delete stale records approximately every 90 days.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at jyang@loandepot.com.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, CSRF protection, rate limiting, and secure cookie handling. Sensitive financial inputs never appear in URLs or browser history.
